Since Purple Pig Woodshop is in the business of custom-made furniture, we do not carry a large inventory. However, once in a while we have the opportunity to make a piece just for the pleasure of creating it. The following items are in stock now and available.

Charcuterie Boards with inlay
Working with a friend of mine that has a CNC machine, we came up with 3 patterns for charcuterie boards. We have a fish, a loon and a landscape. I have several of each on hand in various layouts. The loon and landscape all have a maple background and walnut inlay. I have fish with walnut backgrounds and maple inlays and the other way around. Some have handles and some don’t. In general, the ones with a handle are 24″ long and the ones without are 20″ long. Here are just a few samples. – $75 each

Cutting Boards
All the cutting boards are roughly 12″ x 18″ x 1.5″.

Craftsmen style table lamp – 2024
A while back I made a craftsman’s style table lamp and recently I decided I need to make another batch. This time I made 4 each of walnut, butternut, cherry and ash. A friend of mine built the frame for the shade and I added the mica (which my wife cut for me). He did an excellent job on the shade and I thank him profusely as this was the hardest part of this project. The mica is a different color for each species of wood although it’s tough (for me at least) to tell the difference between what’s in the cherry and what’s in the walnut. Here is one of the ones in walnut: $240 each or $400 / pair

Black Limba coffee tables (could be used as a bench)
Black Limba wood comes from West and Central Africa. This piece could be used as a coffee table or bench, you get to decide. You can also pick the legs. Price for the top is $175. Prices for the legs (in order) are $127, $145. Either of the leg options will work with this top.

Cherry end table
I had a cherry end table on display at Fairport Canal Days (2023) and a gentleman really liked it and wanted me to build him a second one. Well, cherry likes to change color over time so if I build him just one, then they wouldn’t match. So, I built him a matching set. Actually, while I was at it, I built and extra one – this one. I got the wood for this project from an auction a while back. I’ve never seen cherry look quite like this which (from my point of view) makes this end table unique. It measures 16″ deep, 24″ wide and 24″ tall. $265

Charcuterie Boards
Sometimes I have some leftover pieces that were cutoffs from various projects. Sometimes these are just scraps that are laying around, and sometimes I actually go looking for a pattern. Anyways, these are some samples of some things that I just couldn’t throw away, so I put them together and made something out of them.

Card holder for games
I’ve recently discovered a world of games made for adults. These go way beyond Risk and Monopoly. Games like WingSpan and Catan. While playing one of these games with my family, some of the participants got a little frustrated with the piles of cards getting all messy. So, I put on my woodworking hat and came up with a solution. A simple holder for the cards. Each holder will hold 3 stacks of cards. These can be discarded cards, energy cards etc. I’m selling each holder for $8 (a game like Catan (base version) will need 2 holders). Please use the Contact pageif interested.
